My name is Hannah Boughton. I have a teaching degree from the University of Wiscosin-Eau Claire, and I've been living and working outside the United States for almost four years. I've been singing in numerous choirs since a young age, and I also enjoy playing the piano. My love of Chinese orphans has grown since seeing their smiling young faces when they hear music. The adults who take care of the children all day long also get to relax and enjoy song and dance, and this too makes this organization so wonderful. Sharing music with these people is such a rewarding experience for everyone involved!
I have gone on numerous "Orpanage Trips," as we like to call them, to various places in Hebei Province, China. We go there primarily to sing songs and spend time with the children, playing and sometimes just holding them. They are well taken care of, but the men and women have their hands full and appreciate a break in their routine. The children are full of love! Words cannot fully describe the feelings of all involved. The trips are always well-prepared and we are always well-received. Amazing memories of smiling faces and dancing kids make MCC a worthwhile organization!
